Palm Trans is a privately owned family
company founded & operated by Darren Palmer.
Today, Palm Trans operates 70 prime movers throughout the East Coast and South Australia.
Established in 1989 with the focus of providing local work around
Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide along with
express interstate and container cartage.
FACILITIES
Our head office is located on 5 acres in Laverton North, Melbourne. All administration is handled from here. Proof of deliveries and accounting queries are directed to the Melbourne Office.
We have fully staffed depots in both Sydney at Eastern Creek and Brisbane at Heathwood. Storage facilities are also available at all depots. Our aim is to provide a safe harmonious working environment conducive to good employee and community relations. Local delivery trucks are based in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane and distribute to the metro area.
Occupational Health and Safety must be both an individual and a shared responsibility. Safety is a team commitment involving clients, managers, employees, drivers and sub-contractors, all working together through consultation and co-operation. Our objective is to provide all personnel at our sites with an environment that is free of risk to their health and safety.
SUPPORT FACILITIES
The vehicle workshop at the Melbourne Depot is manned by qualified technicians who check each vehicle on return to the depot. Our vehicle servicing program is monitored closely and routine vehicle maintenance and repairs are carried out in the workshop. Other vehicle repairs are contracted out to those who specialise in the type of repair required.
Our prime mover fleet are of the latest models, an indication of our priority to safety and vehicle reliability. The trailer fleet is also updated regularly but with our dedication to safety, each trailer is inspected on a regular basis to ensure the highest possible safety possible for our drivers, the goods we carry and other road users. Our local vehicles are maintained in the same manner as the interstate fleet.
Our vehicle wash bay is used constantly to ensure our fleet is not only maintained in peak condition but looks good at all times.
